Ésta comenzó sus estudios de arte en 1970, en Wuppertal. Así denomina “Schutzengel” (ángel de la guarda) a estas estelas metálicas de 20 cm. de alto que reposan sobre cubos de fibra acrílica de exquisita elaboración. La ligereza de los objetos de aluminio, que provoca la sensación de que están suspendidos en el aire, también tiene por objetivo transmitir serenidad y equilibrio. Las formas abstractas y el dinamismo propio del cuerpo se encuentran en perfecto equilibrio. Sus obras gozan de gran reconocimiento internacional. Muestra de ello son, además de sus numerosas exposiciones, las adquisiciones realizadas para el MOMA de Nueva York y para colecciones de Japón y Singapur. Todas sus creaciones son ejemplares únicos. En la actualidad Sine Semljé vive y trabaja en Engen, al sur de Alemania. Sine Semljés künstlerisches Leben zeichnet sich durch einen fortwährenden Prozess der Reduktion aus. Ihr Kunststudium beginnt sie 1970 in Wuppertal. Sine Semljé nennt die hier gezeigten ca. 20 cm hohen Metallstelen “Schutzengel” und lässt sie in fein gearbeiteten Acrylwürfeln ruhen. Die schwebende Leichtigkeit der Objekte aus Aluminium verfolgt ebenso das Ziel, Gelassenheit und Ausgeglichenheit festzuhalten. Abstrakte Form und körperhafter Schwung stehen in Balance zueinander. Ihre Werke finden in aller Welt große Anerkennung. Davon zeugt nicht nur eine große Zahl von Ausstellungen, sondern auch Ankäufe für das MOMA New York und für Sammlungen in Japan und in Singapur. Es sind immer Unikate, die sie schafft. Heute lebt und arbeitet Sine Semljé in Engen/Süddeutschland. Sine Semljé’s artistic life is characterised by a continuous process of simplification.
