Ein Künstler bringt die verborgene Schönheit in Menschen, Orten und Materialien zum Vorschein; ein Handwerker weiß, wie man Ideen in fertige Objekte umsetzt. Unsere Arbeit gründet sich auf Materialien, die aus der Natur stammen, meine Inspiration aber sind die Städte. Das Leben in der Stadt, veranschaulicht durch Kunst, Musik, Architektur, die Kreuzungs- punkte zwischen Mensch, Kreativität und Natur bilden das Fundament für meine Designideen. In unserem Atelier am wunderschönen Bodensee stellen mein Team und ich einmalige, tragbare Kunststücke her. Es ist mein Ziel, die stark im Handwerk verwurzelte Tradition der Schmuckherstel- lung fortzuführen und dabei mutig nach neuen Ausdrucksformen zu suchen, ohne mich von Traditio- nen einschränken zu lassen. Seit über 40 Jahren steht das Atelier Zobel für höchst individuellen, ausdrucksstarken und gefühlsbe- tonten Schmuck von zeitloser Schönheit. I think of myself as an artist and as a craftsman. The artist unlocks the hidden beauty in people, places and materials; the craftsman knows how to transform ideas into a finished object. Materials that emerge from nature are the base of our work, however cities are my inspiration. The urban life exemplified in art, music, architecture, the intersections between man, creativity and nature provide the foundation for my design ideas. Working by the beautiful Lake Constance, my team and I, craft unique works of wea- rable art. My aim is to continue a tradition of jewelry-making that is rich in crafts- manship, not confined by tradition, but rather, courageously seeking new expressions. For more than 40 years, Atelier Zobel has stood as byword for highly individual, bold and emotive jewelry of timeless beauty. M e considero un artista y un artesano. El artista revela la belleza oculta de las personas, lugares y materiales y el artesano sabe cómo transformar las ideas en un objeto final. Los materiales de la naturaleza son la base de nuestro trabajo, aunque las ciudades son mi fuen- te de inspiración. La vida urbana ejemplificada en el arte, la música, la arquitectura, las intersec- ciones entre el hombre, la creatividad y la naturaleza son la piedra angular de mis ideas de diseño. A orillas del precioso lago Constanza, mi equipo y yo creamos excepcionales obras de arte. Mi objetivo es continuar con una tradición de joyería con un gran carácter artesanal, que, al contrario de verse limitada por la tradición, esté siempre a la búsqueda de nuevas expresiones.
